Amazing children lovely parents could not fault them at all! Some parents have left as fed up of staff turn over rate not knowing who is actually looking after their child and doing handovers in the evening! If i'm honest I can't blame them. Management are all one sided if you try and complain it goes back to your manager and then you get pulled into the office and told of for it even though it's your right to complain and that's what the complaint line is for! (impartial advice!) I enjoy the Job and have done for a while. Just don't go to yellow dot! Poor management, choices are made from people who sit in a office all day. High staff turn over. Most of the time your not actually interacting with the children your stuck in the kitchen... pay is rubbish, it's like a game of Russian roulette if you go to some nurseries they are amazing but others are absolute rubbish. If you want to do an apprenticeship look else where your change assessors so many times I've had 3 and still have not been able to finish my qualification. Management can be rude and disrespectful no matter what you do or say in their eyes they are all knowing and have an answer for everything, you are always wrong and they don't accept you for who you are. Never get to use any hours owed unless you leave! I felt miss-treated and bullied but of course if I tried to explain it to them they'd have an answer for it well more of an excuse. Also there is too much paperwork and not enough time to do it all sometimes we are left out of ratio and unqualified team are left to look after the children on their own. Rarely get out on trips! If you do it's only if there is an available team member who can drive a mini bus as there is too much risk to walk on a path to the local woods! Everything is health and safety this and that don't do this and your not allowed to do that stop trying to teach them and allow them freedom to play and take risks otherwise they will never learn! Also management can be hypercritical one rule for one and not for the other.
