Pros
The employees were all really good people and worked hard.
Cons
Owner is dishonest, has no real grasp of what being a customer or worker friendly business means. 16 hour days were common. It was expected that "Marketing Consultants" work for less than $1500 a month with the promise make "in the six figures" if you were a top earner. It sounded great.... A 15% commission on every deal you close and then a residual for the duration of time that the customer stayed with Zeeblu. One catch is that as soon as you start closing some good deals you are told they needed to change up the sales approach. Ok. Sounds reasonable. What they don't say is that while you are "manning" the phones any deals you bring in are no longer going to pay out the same percentages. I spoke with three former consultants and found they had the exact same thing happen. What's worst though is the length to which the owner will go to try and deny the employee unemployment. I had to go to court to argue that I was entitled to the compensation. While there the CEO, Chad, stated that he believed I was using drugs while at work, though he had no proof because he didn't drug test me. While in court with my wife there as a witness he stated that "they are both probably high right now." In my opinion everything stated thus far is no way to conduct business. The environment at Zeeblu is absolutely toxic. While employed the owner would have me investigate other firms and try to figure out how he could undermine the competition rather than focus on improving the quality of the services he offered. Website designs were all "cookie cutter" WordPress format designs.
