Disillusioned and a Complete Joke

Pros

Sometimes we have a plan that sounds motivating. We get to work with some intelligent people. The office itself is nice to work in. There's a Segway - for no reason. There's an Xbox One - that no plays. There's beer in the fridge - that no one drinks. There's a drumset - that no one uses. They're nice to look at.

Cons

Management team is terrible at trying to run a company, especially in the niche of an industry that has already taken off without them. Never connects with their employees, just drives tasks with no organization. Wastes the valuable potential of employees that have solid skills and strong backgrounds that could really help them succeed, and puts them in positions that make little to no sense, does not listen to their feedback, nor helps them develop with the company. Fired valuable and dedicated employees for other reasons than what was actually the truth, and managers made a spectacle of it afterwards. Never believe a word they say, they are very manipulative, unfair, and unrealistic. You'll also never hear you're doing a good job, and it seems that those who do next to nothing, or take as slow as possible to do a task, are those who are praised than those who actually are experienced professionals trying to make positive change. In the few months I have been here, with as little as employees we have, I have seen a dozen people gone. There could be more, but we've all become accustomed it. Sadly, I don't see this company being successful.

True letdown

Pros

Great office with an awesome location and fun coworkers.

Cons

Where to start? People that do close to nothing or nothing at all but laugh and flirt with upper management are allowed to get away with doing absolutely nothing except taking personal calls all day and hanging out. There is some upper management that doesn't really have a defined role so they just walk around cursing and watching other people's attendance instead of actually doing something constructive. The "president" is delusional and clearly thinks he's a visionary but allows his most talented people to either leave or fires them for giving him constructive feedback that would have launched the product a year ago when it would have been relevant. Nobody has a clearly defined role, no structure, or processes. HR shows up every now and again and has no idea what's going on or how to properly manage people. The IT guy has control of everything but don't you dare ask him to expedite any process as he is far too busy leaving early or not being there at all. Overall the vision of the company is great on paper but everything that's in the market segment is already light years ahead.

Still Gonna Live in Denial.... Bro?

Pros

Thanks for pretending to be on the edge of something great. Did it feel good to try and positively review yourself instead of actually deal with the problems? I wasn't a 12 year old kid that could be blinded by shiny things and toys to forget that mommy and daddy are divorcing.

Cons

Was never surprised that Zendo would crash and burn. The con to me is that they lost a lot of valuable people that could have helped improved a lot of areas, but on the flip side, a handful of us understood our value and now work at top notch companies that know what they're doing, are on top of the trends, and now make six digits a year. So I am not even that upset that my time was wasted. The way this company acted, just powered me into a more driven attitude to ensure I help another company grow and be successful. Based on the red flags and lack of refusal to change, I spent 8 months networking with other companies during my employment with Zendo, then made my move at the end. They wanted zero of my help, zero of my feedback, and considered me less than valuable and never worthy of being there.
