Pros

The few staff left are amazing. Poor souls.

Cons

What was once a great employer has slowly turned into the laughing stock of Bouremouth. Over the course of the last year and a half, between one of the two owners, and the Managing Director, Zest has completely abolished any positives of working there. Alienating staff, removing bonus, reducing headcount, and putting all that extra work on the handful of employes left. All of this is done with a sense of pride, stating "Were trying to become more corporate". Why they have decided to do this, in an age where most companies have moved away from this american-style corporate approach, and have favoured more of a staff centric one is beyond me.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we’re genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide this insight. However, we note your comments about the leadership team and the company culture. The issues you’ve raised are taken very seriously, and we want to address them directly. As a company, we are in the midst of a significant transformation, aiming to grow from £10m to £100m. With this ambition comes the need for change, which we understand can be challenging and, at times, uncomfortable. We’re committed to fostering an environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning and growth, rather than blame. We understand that some aspects of the culture may have been impacted during this transition, but we are taking steps to rebuild and strengthen it. We’re investing in learning and development initiatives to improve communication and collaboration across all levels of the company. We thank you for your contribution during your time at Zest and wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

Some (and I must emphasise SOME) of the staff are not only good at what they do but care about customers and colleagues. This number is dwindling as most have either been let go or left.

Cons

Where to start! They literally do not care about the customers, happy for customer to leave regardless of how long they has been with them. This adds concern about financial stability (which is reinforced with continual staff redundancies). No culture or values towards colleagues anymore, what was there 2 years ago has been eroded by constant restructure from the senior team, one director in particular, is using the company as a cash cow whilst rarely turning up, giving no clear direction or guidance to the mess he is causing. He makes decisions for product changes with no evidence of customer demand behind it (only his personal experiences and likes) and when it doesn't work he blames those that challenged the ideas and let's them go. The current pension is a joke and yes they are changing providers but they are moving to another terrible one. It's a shame but I would only consider working there if you have no other choice.
