Craig Zwick is a plus

Cons

Zwick mandates everyone read and espouse the business management teachings of Jim Collins. However, the management at Zwick Construction does not in fact follow these same management teachings. Because of this, Zwick will never be a great company, and will continue to lose the very people that would make it a great company. You also need to increase base pay and start providing real bonuses to all "team members" and not just the field.

Great place to learn fresh out of college. Fewer hours worked than most construction companies.

Cons

Terrible place for continued growth. If you are not LDS, you will probably feel out of place. Hard to feel like you actually have a seat at the table.

Pros

- Culture, team atmosphere, family feel, and a very ethical place to work. - Has a startup feel to it. (This can also be a con depending who you are.) - Depending on your manager, micromanaging seldomly occurs.

Cons

- Pay is below market. (They’ll pay you slightly above market to get you onboard, but slightly increase your pay slightly.) - Bonuses are 1/26th of your pay, regardless of how well you did. Management changes the bonus structure every other year; however, most employees I’ve talked with are below satisfied with what they’ve been given. - Benefits are sub par - Although general training is provided, it is not specific nor helpful to your everyday issues. - Employee Turnover is fairly high. Most employees in operations have only been at Zwick on average 2 years, except a few who either began from the beginning or tied to the companies’ beginnings. - Zwick rewards new hires, but doesn’t focus on keeping talent.
