Pros
I learned an awful lot from working with some of the best advisers in the business.
Cons
Where to start… new employees are not offered any form of structured training, you are effectively dropped in and told to shadow other people. This happened with me and 2 other new colleagues in my time there, so this is not an isolated case. You have the option to work from home 2 days a week, but it is up to the manager’s discretion when you come in, so you can’t have set days to work from home. It’s worth noting that my ‘team leader’ had several days working from home due to not feeling up to coming into the office. On one occasion I needed to work from home due to family needs and was forced to take unpaid leave for the day, despite being fully operational and available to work. Again, I found from my own experience and from witnessing others, it takes weeks, even months sometimes to gain access to essential platforms. I found that communication was non existent in so many areas of the company. Without continuing, I would summarise my time at atomos as disappointing. I feel that employees and clients alike are treated as expendable numbers, not individuals.
