Role: Health Claims Assessor
This was genuinely the most miserable job I’ve ever had. If you're considering working here, don't — just run.
Cons:
Toxic management – completely phoney and out of touch. They micromanage when it suits them and disappear when real support is needed. Senior leadership is basically non-existent and never sets foot in the building.
Vile customers – constantly rude, entitled, and aggressive. You’re thrown into high-pressure calls and awful complaints with little support or protection.
Processes from hell – the most overcomplicated, outdated, and confusing systems imaginable. Nothing works properly, and everything takes twice as long as it should.
Dismal environment – the office is soul-sucking, the atmosphere is flat and negative, and it honestly feels like you’re working inside a high-security prison.
Terrible facilities – the kitchens and toilets are absolutely filthy. Basic hygiene and cleanliness are clearly not a priority here.
Awful support teams – the Aviva Clinical team might as well not exist. Chasing doctors' secretaries is a constant dead-end.
No comfort – the chairs are genuinely painful, the building is gloomy, and there’s nowhere to relax.
Canteen is a rip-off – overpriced, bland food that's not worth your money.
Pay is a joke – for the amount of stress, workload, and emotional burnout, the salary is insulting.
