Pros

Some great operational staff who are always willing to go the extra mile and do whatever they can for the business/customers no matter when Great Products

Cons

Executive leader unfortunately doesn't seem to fully understand the business nor seem to care for staff moral or opinion. will soon find herself alone managing a sinking ship if things keep going the way they are. Tends to throw money away very easily on aesthetic things that do not realistically help the business in any shape or form. Loss of talented people and little care from management as to why Executive Leader micromanages everything Salary not competitive Roll out of a dress code that only suits anyone over the age of 50 Would rather pay for 3rd parties to advise on issues in the business than listen to the people on the shop floor

Pros

As the CEO of Brightsolid, I am compelled to respond to a recent review Brightsolid is an incredibly exciting business, with fantastic clients, operating in a market with immense opportunity. We are currently implementing a number of transformational projects focusing on our offerings, systems, environments, culture and our client focus. All the projects are aimed at ensuring that Brightsolid continues to be viable and valuable to the many clients we support and to offer exciting career opportunities to the colleagues we employ. Our people are the cornerstone of the business; they are hugely valued and their opinions actively sought at all times by myself and the wider leadership team. We have implemented several changes recently focusing on improving communication, increasing transparency, introducing regular 1:1s and we very much welcome feedback and open floor questions on a weekly and monthly basis at company gatherings. We have also engaged third party consultants to help us in our transformational activities, and their sole focus so far has been to listen to many members of the business, across all divisions. Several emails have been sent positioning the objectives of the review to ensure that the whole company has visibility and understand the key aims. The contact details of the consultants have also been shared with the team, openly encouraging team members to get involved and to share their honest feedback and ideas. We have also introduced several recent measures to ensure that people are recognised and rewarded well for the work they do for Brightsolid. We have made many promotions since I joined, launched an employee award programme where team members can nominate their colleagues for cash awards and we have embarked on a training and accreditation programme with many team members recently being sponsored to obtain formal industry qualifications and accreditations. The aesthetic improvements mentioned have been a much needed and overdue investment in our data centres and office environments; ensuring we have a professional place to work that will be pleasing to staff, and welcoming to our visitors. Our dress code has also been updated to bring new standards of professionalism to our business; ensuring we all look smart and representative of the brilliant business we are, to the many clients and visitors we host. Care and effort was taken to ensure that the code was in line with other companies in our market. I feel deeply moved that an individual, or indeed individuals, may feel this way about our recent changes. Yes, we are transforming as a business, and I fully understand that change at this level can be challenging for some. But it has also been an incredibly positive force for many in the team who have been open to sharing the vision, and helping to make it a reality. As always, my door is open for anyone at any time who wishes to have a chat.

Cons

Change can be challenging and unfortunately it is not possible to please everyone all of the time.
