Pros

Flexible schedule. Good pay. Remote options, had employees spread across all USA timezones. Good equipment. Great coworkers. The software is decent and intuitive.

Cons

The owner is wonderful at getting in his own way. He berates his team, shames people for taking vacation, and points the finger at everyone but himself. When employees spoke up about poor treatment in the past they were demoted. The guy is oblivious in how to kindly speak or treat people. He needs to hire a manager to take over the employees and customer support. There is no training for workers or clients. No structure or overview of product or flow. I also heard the owner fire a customer who complained about the way he was being talked to and treated. Instead of fixing this, the owner just fires the client. He is one of the meanest people I have ever experienced, at any job, in my professional career. I was there for only 6 weeks before I ran. I was in no way successful or skilled at my position, I didn't have time to be. I took a temporary position just to get away from this company. It was THAT bad. Please, look elsewhere for work.

Pros

Work from Home and laptop

Cons

I wasn't going to write a review but seeing 3 fake 5 star reviews were left since my departure and I know what the current employee status looks like i felt compelled to. You will be sold a dream of great pay, benefits, time-off, flexibility, advancement, etc.. However in reality you are just entering into an abusive relationship that you will spend years trying to get out of. George will take any chance he can to be aggressive or blame you for anything (You're fault or his). You will be bombarded with threats and ultimatums if things don't get done. Mind you he does not have enough support to cover his clients so the support staff is to blame for all issues. There is absolutely no training. Zero. Fend for yourself or get a 5-10 minute huff and puff screen share by George. The in house products are consistently broke. Thanks to having one developer that really knows what they are doing but are so overwhelmed things fail and break. It's embarrassing to sell and support products that are no where near production ready, just force out updates and changes then fix as you go. As far as employees there were never any issues with employees, we all got along, just the way they were treated by the owner. Dont ever challenge the owner either with ideas that could make things better or the way employees are talked to. You will sign a death sentence for that. This man will scream at you, in public, in front of partners with no regret. Its disgraceful and an embarrassment. The owner will also lie to other employees to create in fighting. This owner will also share and lie about your personal life changes and information then spread it. I cannot see how this company survives when the above is commonplace. If those things don't change I would steer clear of this sinking ship.

Pros

Work from home as a remote employee. Decent product.... if we were able to deliver on what we sell.

Cons

The CEO is destroying his own company. He does not trust anyone of his employees. Continually and openly berates his employees. Gripes about how we have more money going out then we do coming in. Always pointing the finger at other people rather than looking at himself for the shortcomings. When employees are asked to share their thoughts/opinions, no one says anything because they know the CEO will argue why they are wrong and bash their ideas.

I'm sorry you were not successful in your role here. I know you didn't make it through a year but sales roles are performance based like most companies. I strongly suggest that you find a role that better suites yours skills as sales is not your focal point. 2019 was a strong year for this company. Our top line sales grew by 46% while churn remained under 3%. This all occurred even though you were not able to really help our sales efforts during you tenure here. While I understand the brutally honest approach I take to communication is not for everyone I strongly believe being upfront and honest is critical to any business not just our own. If the door is open for everyone to participate in the company's direction and you chose not to do so then ultimately that was your choice. I really hope you find somewhere that fits you better. Good Luck Lisa. Respectfully, George Bardissi - CEO, bvoip
