Pros
Working closely with this population of children was very rewarding and honestly a lot of fun (once you were able to get through some of their walls). It was definietly challenging at times, but I truly cared (and still care) for the kids I worked with.
Cons
Several managers made the work enviornment hostile and toxic for both the workers and the kids in the home. These managers communicated with their inferiors in passive aggressive and very unprofessional ways, such as yelling at workers in front of the kids. In one particular instance, a manager wanted me to break a law with regards to transportation, and was frustrated with me for saying I wouldn't do so. After that instance, as well as a few others, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe working for the company.
