Pros
You can work remote and avoid the petty office drama and antics.
Cons
eTailPet has no structure to the company and they do not know how to successfully run a business. You will find yourself with a new job title every couple of weeks, but no clear outline of what your job is. It’s a cool product, but the lack of understanding on business practices will be the downfall. The turnover rate at eTailPet is comical. I started looking for jobs the moment they FORGOT TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES, so everyone was paid late…. What kind of business ‘forgets’ to pay their employees? eTailPet micromanages their employees worse than any place I’ve ever seen before. So much so that they can’t get their own work done, so they work at night. The result? They expect you to work at night/weekends too (and not be paid for it). If you do not work at night, you are reprimanded for not meeting their expectations. They have no personal boundaries. Calling your personal cell phone and emailing you from 4AM - 11PM at night and on weekends. The managers, on a daily basis, talk trash about the CEO and other employees. The second you start working there, all you hear is complaints from managers about employees. So unprofessional… They also lie constantly. They will tell you all kinds of information, come to find out that they were showboating and just trying to cover a previous lie they told. They also lie to customers about what the product is actually capable of doing just to get the sale. They have core values that employees are expected to follow, but management is not. They lie, don’t care about customers or their employees, and prevent employees from actually getting their job done. I would not be surprised if they write a fake review after this to try to push this one down. They also run ‘tests’ on employees to see how they will fail. They give you two options, both of which are ‘failed test’ outcomes, and see which one you do. Then you are reprimanded for whichever option they gave you that you chose. Don’t even get me started on the fact that the management tells their employees that they need to lose weight… The business practices are destroying the company before it even got started. If you’re looking for a good job or career, do not board the Titanic.
