Pros

Good for your resume to work here (well-known start-up). A lot to learn.

Cons

Please note: This is about 4 years ago. Maybe the company has well-improved by now. But I didn't hear very positive stories from people I met that recently left. This company has been good at creating an environment that looks appealing from the outside to potential employees, but please be aware of what you're getting yourself into. When I came in, they were so proud of having a large team with super senior people from Deloitte who were 'willing' (as if it was a huge honor) to work with felyx and teach the juniors all about how work can be done. It was impressive. There was money, a cool office, and obviously a lot of growth. But felyx is not invested in their employees. Once there, I was expected to work a lot more than 40 hours per week. It was considered 'cool'. People would brag about having worked the previous day until 8:00PM, 9:00PM, or even 11:00 PM. And every Monday, I would work in the office until 02:00AM to make a budget-calculation that was only up-to-date enough to the CCO, if it had the latest data available. So if that meant we had to stay until the middle of the night, so be it. I ended up in a burn-out. Couldn't even read my screens anymore. After I was diagnosed by the doctor, I requested a private meeting with the HR-manager and told her about the situation. That same day, she informed all of my managers and suggested they would let my contract come to an end. They even 'advised' me to 'not call in sick'. They would pay me my full salary until the end of my contract. I had no idea what was happening and just agreed. Again, I was in the middle of a burn-out and couldn't think straight. Turns out, they paid out the salary, but everything at once. Leading to me having to pay a lot more tax than usual. So they had a win, because I wasn't a financial disturbance to them anymore in 'Ziektewet', and I was completely screwed. For months, I was unable to work, and I was broke, and I ended up in the 'Werkloosheidswet'. So I had to act to the government like I was searching for jobs. Of course this is a long time ago. For a long time, I didn't want to write anything about all of it. But I just heard more negative stories about felyx of previous employees who just left. And I figured, why not still leave this review, and hope other people find more interesting companies to work for than felyx. Luckily, there are a lot of shiny start-ups and scale-ups in the Netherlands. Most of them more invested in their employees.

Pros

- A lot of things to set-up - Amazing colleagues - Lots of freedom to work from home (hybrid) - Working at a company which provides green mobility in cities

Cons

-Because a lot still has to be set up, it could be too much new stuff for people who have worked in a company which already had all processes in place.
