Pros

The only pro was getting out of there in time

Cons

At first, I wasn't thinking of leaving a review for this company, but since the CEO himself referred to me in his latest comment on a review on here, I decided to react. First of all, yes, I am the employee the CEO is referring to in his comment below that worked as a babysitter prior to taking on this job. I honestly believe the fact the CEO degrades someone's abilities by referencing jobs employees did in the past says a lot about the CEO himself and is a great portrayal of how you should expect to be treated in the company if you do decide to take on a position with gsmExchange. Also, calling his ex-employees out by ASSUMING who they are based on ANNONYMOUS reviews left on this page is another portrayal of how the company is being run. Another thing to refer to here is my sales experience the CEO is refering to in his comment. I actually came to the company with 4 years of sales experience with 2 more years of customer care experience. This shows the ignorance the CEO has towards his employees, knowing them and valuing their efforts, hard work and their experience. I personally left the company because of the lack of chances to progress, because of constantly beinf put down for the work I did and because of fear of being degraded on a personal and professional level everyday by the CEO. The comments on here speak for themselves so there wouldn't be much left for me to add except a few things: - You will be expected to work long hours and, if you decline to do so because of whatever reasons you have not to work more than 40 hours a week, expect to be degraded yet again - Comission structure is not set in stone and it changes as the wind blows so you might be expecting to get your comission one day and end up with no comission the next day - Team spriti? Forget about it - The tone in the office is very negative so don't expect to have any laughs whatsoever in all those 40+ hours you'll work in a week - Keeping your mouth shut might help you with having a few days of peace in the office without being yelled at - Expect to make 200+ phone calls to clients a day that are usually completely unnecessary and with no real goals to them - If you decide to put your head into the role (which on its own is actually quite interesting and, if managed better, could be an interesting one with great learning possibilities), expect to be shut down. No projects will be approved if they're not up to CEO's standards (and that changes daily, just like the comission structure) Overall, very unprofessional management system, no benefits to the job and a very negative place enforced with fear of the management itself. Like I said, the CEO's comments below speak for themselves and there's not much left to say.

Pros

Exposure to interesting and dynamic global but niche market/industry. Developing hardcore sales skills.

Cons

Unprofessionally run company by a CEO who is a bit of a control freak. The management strategy seems to be divide and conquer and explore all grey areas at employee's expense. Long hours expected and promoted with no actual reward. Virtually non-existing work/life balance. No benefits of any kind which is extremely rare in this day and age. Very toxic environment. The list goes on...

Ouch!! Well, we have a few unhappy people here; we are not happy with that at all, at all! Actually we would love to talk to these unhappy people and see what their problem was, cheer them up and cheer them on further into their career. Unfortunately, we could not reach out to them. As these three people left anonymous feedbacks, it is not possible to reach them in any way; not sure we can guess who they are neither, we just hope that these are not our competitor - that would be very naughty! In the 18 years since our launch, we have had many people join our team from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and skill sets - they have enriched our company and we hope that we have enriched their lives as well; the ones who have left us have gone on to have successful careers, started families, or created companies - or all of the above - we wish everyone the best in their lives and careers (including the not so happy ones :) ) As for our current Team, we think that they are happy; here is why: - They run the job like it is their own business - Operating independently with a lot of autonomy - Demanding environment, but it is also highly rewarding - initiative is highly rewarded - If doing sales, then earning potential is tremendous - Average tenure here is over 3 - 4 years. For sure this does not suit everyone, but for the right person, this is a brilliant place to work. On the other hand, we have a network of happy customers - watch this video https://youtu.be/UOVgbF-ZaTQ to see what they say! These are not anonymous by the way :) OK - so they speak really highly of us - we probably kind of bribed them a little :D Hundreds more videos on our Youtube channel, if you would like to know more about us... Also check out our website: www.gsmExchange.com We have an open door policy; if you would like to have a chat, call us on +35312558555 or mail recruitment@gsmExchange.com we would love to hear from all prospective team members!

Pros

9-6 workday, free fruit, lads office, clean office - commission can be good if you have the right market and if your accounts aren't poached

Cons

1. boss is an egotistical maniac whom frequently confronts employees on their efforts yet add little value to the business himself 2. team mates try to poach accounts from each other, especially the new guys 3. you don't learn anything - the clients are not real companies... their mostly sole traders with a capital investment which they use to generate an ROI from using phone trading as a means 4. anyone, bar one guy I can think of, has done well by kissing Essam's behind lol - which of course makes for an us vs. them environment
