Pros

I really enjoyed working at iSmash the first few months. The management changed a few times and the first two managers I had were amazing: very helpful, relaxed and friendly. The colleagues were also very inclusive, amicable and fun. I have definitely learned a lot and got great skills from this experience. The first managers were happy to ask for a pay rise (which I got) and were supporting your career progress. Also, you were getting discount at the stores.

Cons

Things started to go downhill when the management changed again and they brought a person who was very volatile, controlling, unfair and loved to micromanage people. She would be nice to anyone else, apart from me and my team (who also left) and I have never experience issues with the previous management. She would constantly check in an obsessive way everything we were doing and would not pay you even if you were living far away and it was not your problem but trains being delayed. I have tried to report this to HR at the time and no one has ever responded, which made me think that there was a hierarchy and if you were not at the top of it, you would have not been listened to. She also promised a salary increase as commuting was difficult and expensive and never got it.
