Disappointed

Pros

Helping restaurants and small businesses, some great people.

Cons

I initially enjoyed Inkind, but over time it lost its appeal. It's no longer a fulfilling or vibrant workplace, which is disheartening. The leadership team lacks maturity, the vision is scattered, and questionable business decisions supported only by yes-men have derailed the company. Leadership lacks all necessary seasoned business acumen. In the face of minor challenges that naturally come with growth, they react impulsively, directing frustration at the wrong targets. Frequent team reorganizations result in overworked, understaffed, and confused teams. Office dynamics are marred by incessant drama and gossip, leaving employees on edge. Hasty business decisions often alter employee roles without corresponding salary adjustments, setting them up for failure. The rotating door of contractors and friends of executives filling roles without addressing the mass exodus of long-time employees disrupts the workplace culture and erodes trust. The Inkind app holds significant potential for success, but not under its current leadership,

Lack of leadership, demoralized employees

Pros

Great benefits. Lots of food. You help restaurants thrive.

Cons

Morale is horrible at the company, especially among the women. There's a clear delimitation between the men who have power (leadership loves yes-men) and the rest of the people who work there. Many friends and family of the leadership team work at the company, and they oftentimes lack relevant experience and have zero accountability. Priorities constantly shift and are not supported with solid rationale nor explanations. Leadership lacks experience with scaling a company, and it clearly is showing. They insist that the company is flat when there is a clear hierarchy in the org chart coupled with whether they personally like you or not. There is a pervasive fear of ostracism and job loss that discourages honest discourse that could improve the employee experience.

Poor Management

Pros

The camaraderie is fantastic, the people are hard working and kindhearted.

Cons

The leadership/management team makes uneducated, impulsive decisions that impact the entire company, they do not trust their staff, and they lead with fear and anxiety. They underpay their employees and do not provide growth opportunities. They surround themselves with "yes" men and slowly get rid of those who challenge them. They are not strong leaders.
