The UK arm was formed by a team of British nuclear "old boys" still operating in days gone . There is a failure to understand basic principles of delivering large projects in a global environment.
The leadership team seem fixated on (and perhaps validated by) fire fighting, All long term initiatives, best practice and European engagement (with the parent company in Italy) is thrown out of the window in favour historic practices which continually leave us coming up short. Staff feel burnt out and often stop contributing anything other than bare minimum.
This is all compounded by "group think" and poor communications. There is a tragic blame culture resulting in less experienced staff wondering if they have done well and experienced staff are often left underwhelmed by any lack of strategic direction,
There is a high staff turnover and numerous contract disputes I would recommend avoiding the UK arm of the company at all costs.
If you want to work at newcleo join the European arm!!!
