Pros

Good Hours and a decent office and the colleagues are generally OK. After that I am struggling to say anything good.

Cons

The lock of colleague knowledge is scary especially as you are dealing with people who are approaching pension age in general. I was told to tell them anything to get them off the phone (as long as you were polite) and witnessed other handlers telling lies and giving incorrect information. This cannot be acceptable ! I mentioned all this to my Manager on several occaisions - simply did not care. Just about the worst organisation I have ever worked for.

Pros

Great staff, friendly and caring colleagues/peers who make your day worth getting through Good office hours, good holiday package and get all weekends and bank holidays off Brand new office, new computers, now pensions branded stationary etc.

Cons

The systems are rubbish, leading to utter confusion, anger and frustration from clients. Lack of proper training and processes, back log within other departments, poor management and pass the buck culture means issues are never truly resolved and only a matter of time before the same client is back complaining about the same issue and multiple other problems created by trying to fix the first issue as everything is done on a trial and error basis with no real idea what the ultimate consequence will be from clicking a button or 'testing' a fix. No real direction or strategy to tackle/resolve known historical issues Very reactive environment, people talk about change and wanting the best for clients but when it comes down to it there are no proactive steps being taken from the constant client and agent feedback provided to make any improvements.

Pros

Some very nice and decent people who are treated poorly

Cons

Too many to mention. But will mention some of the tamer instances below; Management wrote all the 5 star reviews on here, and no doubt will continue to employ the same tactics going forward. If you are not in the the in crowd you have no chance. Unsure how you get in there but it appears the way in is via the pub/bedroom. Complete lack of accountability for any management or any staff for that matter until it becomes a firefighting exercise and even then never fix the root cause of the problem, they just paperover as they have another fire to fight which they didn't fix properly last time.
