Pros

Nice location Free coffee, monthly staff lunches, fun parties - however they are more for clients than employees Casual work environment Decent benefit package

Cons

Considering the size of organization the turnover is very high. Employees are frustrated and feel undervalued. Owner has a big ego and does not interact with staff and can make them feel uncomfortable. He is "the boss" not a leader. Very aggressive growth plan but no strategy to reach growth goals besides buying successful companies at the end of the year in order to reach targets. Loads of system and data issues. No defined processes/documents. Company does not know how to manage projects. Poor execution and lack of planning of internal projects Too many meetings and priorities are constantly shifting Lack of transparency - Poor communications from upper management, Incompetent management – some lack experience and are not willing to put in the time and effort to make an impact, many not involved in the day-to-day HR is practically non-existent. Part-time consultant who does not deliver Bonuses are over promised since targets are stretched. Attendance is taken and they do not trust their employees. No flexibility. LOTS of office politics

Pros

Great benefits Lavish Xmas/summer parties Nice office Occasional meals provided

Cons

Overworked and stressed Admin and Finance staff Poor leadership and strategy - too much focus on the future and not enough on the here and now. Then, when things go wrong mgmt points fingers instead of looking at themselves. Upper mgmt does not make themselves accessible to staff Nepotism Rude Executive Assistants No HR department - (part-time consultant only) employees left to fend for themselves Poor morale Underpaid coordinators Promotions are based on seniority rather than merit

Pros

- multiple locations across US/Canada - has good financial backing for acquisitions

Cons

- negative environment, senior managers are incompetent but also want to "lord" their "status" over you - old school management style: stick to your own lane, don't work as a team, do way more work than your job should be and dont get credit - micromanaging CEO - miserable staff - poor HR - horrible trust issues with employees - staff turnover is extremely high, constantly - strange dynamic with senior management and you can get fired if they feel like they dont like you for a personal reason - no job security - no loyalty to employees - lured in with bonus promises for lower salary, bonus is always undercut - nepotism
