Pros

Honestly, none worth mentioning. Only good thing is getting your salary on time. You’ll learn how much toxicity you can tolerate.

Cons

Upgrad is an extremely toxic and unprofessional workplace. Abusive language is commonly used, and the work environment is unsafe, especially for women. Employees are rarely free before 8:30–9:00 PM, with typical work hours stretching to 10–12 hours a day. During the last two weeks of every month, staff are forced to work on Sundays. The President personally calls individuals and pressures them to work and provide sales updates, regardless of personal commitments. There is a clear culture of favoritism — around eight people close to the President hold senior roles with salaries exceeding ₹20 lakh per year. Their primary role seems to be to monitor employees and serve the President’s personal interests rather than contribute productively. There is no real career growth here. Managers are mostly hired externally rather than promoted from within, and no employee tends to last beyond four years. Hiring and firing happen frequently, showing how unstable and unhealthy the organization truly is. The Accelerator (Upgrad Abroad) program is highly misleading. Only 10–20% of students actually fly abroad. Many are admitted with 50–60% scores and later get their visas rejected. There are reportedly hundreds of complaints filed with the police. Employees are pressured to make false commitments like “100% admission,” “guaranteed visa,” and “200% job assistance” all completely untrue.
