ANZ Conference February 2025 We’re ready! Excitement was high as 200 of our incredible leaders from ANZ came together in Sydney for our ANZ Conference. Equal parts celebration, strategy, and sheer determination, it was an opportunity to bring our teams together as we unite to ensure we are the Growth Partner of Choice Every Time.
Electrolux 100 years It was 100 years ago that our founder Axel Wenner-Gren set his sights on the distant - from our home country Sweden - but affluential markets of Australia and New Zealand. Today, Electrolux Group is market leader especially in cooking and we are the only home appliance company that still manufactures in Australia, with our very first factory launched in Melbourne back in 1934.
WORLD FOOD DAY With the help of the Electrolux Food Foundation, we’re committed to educating about smart food choices for ourselves and the planet. Recently we celebrated World Food Day at our Mascot office with our mini chefs. They were among 13,000 kids globally who learnt about sustainable food choices and reducing waste through our Food Heroes program. Chaos ensued, but gee it was great fun!
Westinghouse is always ‘Happy to Help’. Recently our teams were Kicking Goals for Charity to help our mates at St Kilda FC and the Danny Frawley Centre (DFC). Westinghouse and St Kilda are both proud of the long history they each have with Australian families. This event saw us getting closer to the community by helping to raise valuable funds to support the DFC in providing mental fitness programs and community recreational facilities. Great fun and a great cause.
Adelaide team are hot stuff at South Australian climate awards! Our Dudley Park factory team were recognised in the SA Climate Leaders Awards for their continued commitment to climate change, winning the Large Enterprise category for their amazing work on an electric furnace. The new inline electric furnace is 70% more efficient than the old one and is a world first in the Group. It continues the removal of non-renewable energy sources in our factories and to achieve our net-zero emissions goals.
Emma Kaczmar Giving back to their local community was something Emma Kaczmar, our Sydney-based Global Head of Graphic Design, knew they wanted to do. “I was mindful of how easy it can be for work to consume us if we let it”, they said, so I wanted to find a way to volunteer and give back. “I just couldn’t settle on what I should do and how to fit it in with work.” With flexible working arrangements, Emma found a perfect opportunity. “My friend told me about an incredible programme at an inner west -Sydney hospital-the baby cuddling programme in the special care unit. It’s been an amazing experience.”
