It's official, the Northern Trust London Padel club has now launched 🎉 The newly reformed London Sports and Social committee was assembled last year to enhance our employee experience and to support our teams in collaborating and connecting across all of our business units. To kick off the club, the Committee hosted two 'Pizza and Padel' events in Canary Wharf which were a tremendous success with event bookings selling out in minutes. The committee has several exciting initiatives and events planned for 2025, (aside from more Padel) and this is only the start of things to come. Watch this space... We are thrilled to highlight our 17 female partners from our offices in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing who have successfully completed a six-month leadership development program titled “Moving Up”. The program involved a series of workshops, one to one coaching with external experts, one to one mentoring and People Leader 360 Sessions with managers. Senior female leaders across APAC were invited for peer coaching to share their experiences with the group. Our partners were able to relate the learning with their day-to-day work, equip themselves with the knowledge and tips to address challenges and biases and carry forward a repository of tools and resources to help them with their continuous professional development. Most importantly, the participants formed a network to share and learn from each other. Our team in Manila observed International Day of Persons with Disabilities earlier this week. The Manila employee-led Abilities Business Resource Council organized meaningful activities to recognize and appreciate the abilities of persons with disabilities, which include: ⚓ A speaker session featuring a caregiver of a child on the autism spectrum and a neurodivergent person sharing their inspiring stories ⚓ A mini-fair showcasing products made by a company with deaf employees, artworks by an artist on the autism spectrum, and massages by skilled blind masseuses ⚓ A booth where partners could pledge their commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility in our workplace “A really heart warming update from our guest speakers confirming anything is possible if we all give people the same chance, support and encouragement.
