Happy Pride Month Exciting Event organized by RES! RES organized an event today dedicated to promoting awareness and inclusion for the LGBTIQ+ community. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We invited our esteemed guest speakers Katie Green from Inner City Legal Centre (ICLC) & River who are passionate advocates for LGBTIQ+ rights and inclusion. They shared their insights and experiences, aiming to educate and inspire our team and community. RES celebrate diversity and continue our journey towards creating a more inclusive environment for all.
RES was once again a proud sponsor of the recent Gulgong Henry Lawson Heritage Festival, where our team members joyfully immersed themselves in the weekend celebrations. This beloved three-day festival honors the life and legacy of one of Australia’s most cherished poets and fiction writers, Henry Lawson, and pays tribute to his mother Louisa, whose belief in the power of education helped shape Henry’s remarkable career. For the RES team attending the festival, the highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to participate in the street parade on a horse drawn carriage, leading the parade of floats, vintage tractors and cars along the Gulgong High Street. The festivities included a cutting of Henry Lawson’s enormous birthday cake made by the local CWA group, and the awarding of Best Dressed winners on the day. At RES, we are deeply committed to supporting and participating in the vibrant events of our regional communities. Being a part of these festivals and celebrating with Australia’s rural heart is an essential part of our development process and what makes RES a power for good.
