What are you working on today? I’m building a Connected Health Innovation hub in Dublin. We’re exploring how we can use digital technology to engage and support our patients and customers for what they will need in 2025. My family relocated to Dublin from Sydney; ResMed is excellent at providing global opportunities to learn and grow. What excited you about coming to work? I’m excited about being a part of bringing ideas to life. I’m part of a small team that gets to play with the latest technology. We are adopting a lean innovation framework where we learn through building prototypes, conducting experiments, and generating evidence in an iterative loop. This means we learn or fail fast. We are focused on the patient; engaging and motivating them and supporting them through their therapy journey. We want to understand and empathize with them. Why are you passionate about what you do? I’m passionate about the tech, the people, and our purpose. I’m building a small team from the ground up, bringing together multi-disciplinary innovative thinkers to explore the latest technology
ResMed hosted 91 kids last Friday at our Corporate headquarters in San Diego for Take our Kids to Work Day! It was a day filled with food, fun and learning. We had some awesome team building activities hosted by our Learning and Development team, followed by a fun session with Mad Science and a great lunch!!
Over the last few weeks, our global People team have been spending quite a bit of time together working tirelessly to start a new journey. What we also realized is the exceptional global teamwork that can be accomplished when we all work together. There was a touch of time for a bit of fun as well!
Last week was international Stress Awareness Day. Swan Leisure was kind enough to join the ResMed Dublin office and educate staff members about workday stress and stress management. The instructor demonstrated some breathing and meditation techniques as well as a Yoga and Pilates mix. Of course, our very own working dog r. Gonzales was also a big part of the stress relief during this event. #healthyworkplace #exercise #team #yoga #todayisyourday
Celebrating International Womens Day - ResMed Style! Our global team stepped out to take a moment and reflect on what strong Women we have on our teams. #greatplacetowork #resmedlife #todayisyourday #inclusioninaction #bethechange
Congrats to the TA Team at ResMed Australia for making the GradAustralia Top 100 Graduate Employers List 2019. Special thanks to Marnelli Cosinas, Merita Grosvenor, Padmi Pathinather & Katie Merchant for their huge efforts over the past 12 months. An absolute honour to attend the Awards evening last night with guest speaker Professor John Shields. Well done ResMed Sydney!
Last Tuesday ResMed and SDJUG had the excellent opportunity to host Java Performance authorities, Kirk Pepperdine and Sebastian Daschner for a day-long workshop and evening Q&A session regarding Java performance and tuning. Our teams gained a ton of knowledge and got to meet new people within the San Diego Tech Community!
ResMed & sleepbus: Setting the wheels in motion for good sleep. The sleepbus vision to end the need for people to sleep rough in Australia is one that strongly resonates with ResMed. By converting buses into safe, temporary overnight accommodation to get people off the street, sleepbus offers an immediate, first stop, cost-effective solution for our society's most vulnerable people; catching them early until they can get back on their feet. Simon Rowe, sleepbus Founder and CEO, shares ResMed’s belief that sleep plays a vital role in good health and wellbeing; and that getting enough quality sleep can help protect a person's mental health, physical health, and safety. For those sleeping rough, getting a good night's sleep is near impossible and can contribute to long-term homelessness and more. Watch the video below to find out why ResMed and sleepbus have partnered together, or click here to donate directly to the sleepbus charity. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMaBC
Meet Rene Goerke, part of our Finance Team What excited you about coming to work? Acting as ResMed´s European Tax Manager is a role with many responsibilities. I enjoy working when I see that the things I’m doing have a meaningful impact on the company and Taxes play an important role in many business decisions. As ResMed is a forward moving and thinking company I’m challenged with new issues and questions almost every day and I like coming to work not knowing what the day will bring. My supervisor gives me space to work in my way, and I try my best to do so also for my colleagues. What do you enjoy most about the team that you work with? I have been employed at a couple of different workplaces in the past and while working at these companies, I have rarely seen such a good team spirit from the colleagues I work with. I feel I’m in a very trusting environment at ResMed in Dublin; my colleagues help each other and go “the extra mile” for others. Working in this manner is far beyond just working at any company.
Congratulations to ResMed Australia who have just been voted by Australian Graduates as one of the Top 100 Graduate Employers in GradAustralia's 2019 Student Survey. Well done to the ResMed Australia team for your efforts! #resmedlife #todayisyourday #greatplacetowork #graduateprogram
