Anzac Day, 25 April, is a day of significant remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. Anzac Day commemorations, including dawn services, parades and marches, will take place across Australia and New Zealand, and we take time on this day to reflect, honour and remember the brave women and men who have served during wars, conflicts and peace keeping operations. Initially, Anzac Day commemorated Australian and New Zealand troops (the ANZACs) who served and sacrificed their lives in the Great War. However, in the years since WWI, Australian and New Zealand troops have answered the call in conflicts across the globe, and the date has become the day on which our nations remember all those who have served to secure our freedoms and peace. Today, the Anzac spirit is the benchmark for standards of courage, mateship and determination. As we reflect and commemorate, we at Rheinmetall take this opportunity to recognise and thank those who have served, and continue to serve in the Defence of their country. #rdalife #anzac #lestweforget #veterans

🚨 New benefit alert! 🚨 In January 2022 Rheinmetall Defence Australia introduced a 9 day fortnight for all of its Australian and New Zealand employees. The initiative was introduced in recognition of the continued hard work that everyone puts in to deliver our customers, and provides a meaningful way to provide our teams with a “long weekend” every fortnight. For everyone, it also means that our salary and wages, leave entitlements, superannuation and other remuneration and benefits will be unchanged. Moving to a 9 day fortnight is a small, but important way that Rheinmetall says thank you to our employees.
So far in 2022 across our Australian Rheinmetall operations we have donated blood and plasma 25 times. Each donation can save 3 lives, so we are up to 75 lives saved already this year! At our MILVEHCOE facility, we have an arrangement where #Lifeblood provide shuttle van services to make it easy for our employees to continue to donate blood, two days each, every quarter. Our employees nationally also contribute to the tally and donate to their local Lifeblood centre from anywhere in Australia. We are honored and very proud to be part of this vital community service and #thank our wonderful team members for their ongoing support of this initiative.
Hydrogen is seen as a key element in the transition to climate-neutral forms of energy and mobility. We were quick to spot this trend and began developing products for fuel systems over twenty years ago. We continue to pursue our development efforts in this domain and are currently working on a series of innovative balance-of-plant components. Besides components for regulating the flow of hydrogen, our portfolio also includes various cathode-side valve solutions. To meet various customer requirements regarding utilization, installation space and interfaces in the best possible way, the production valves are based on a modular principle. For instance, this means that the valves can be used in fuel cells with an electrical output of up to 200 kilowatts. In addition, we offer numerous variations of the basic design, covering the complete range of available of electric actuators and interfaces. This way, practically every customer requirement can be met.
