A day in the life of… Emma Boyle, Senior Communications Executive Emma is a Senior Communications Executive, based in the London office responsible for composing external content assets across a wide range of platforms, architecting the company-wide tone of voice and spearheading internal comms to build an enriched and fortified company culture. Prior to joining Vortexa, Emma worked as a Senior Copywriter for Facebook and as a Content Manager at the GSMA, the global governing body for the mobile industry. Fun fact: Emma is currently working towards fulfilling her dream ambition of becoming an author and is composing a fictional novel about affairs and manipulative relationships!

To enrich our own understanding of how Pride month originated and to delve deeper into the cornerstone topics underpinning the celebrations, we invited Tony McCaffery, Founder and Managing Director of Diversity Co; the home of equity, diversity and inclusion consultancies to share his own experiences as a queer and mixed-race person of colour living with disabilities. We asked Tony to further educate us on the subject of intersectionality and most importantly, to articulate how best we can actively support LGBTQIA+ communities.

Gabriel is a DevOps Engineer, based in London, responsible for the reliability of Vortexa's infrastructure, as well as creating and managing tools for our developers. Prior to joining Vortexa, Gabriel worked as a Software and then DevOps engineer at BT. Fun fact: Gabriel made excellent use of his time during lock-down and taught himself how to backflip this year!

Energy Innovation Capital becomes a new investor in Vortexa together with increased participation from Notion Capital, one of the company’s existing investors.
