      Business outlook

      Pros

Good pay and great benefits, great opportunity to build relationships and grow

      Cons

Just like high school. Cliques. Judging and whispering behind backs, no one there ACTUALLY cares about you. They care about if you do your job.

      Could be better

      Cook
      Current employee
      Austin, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Decent benefits for full time, discount on all HEB related products, better than minimum wage, full 40 hours if you are full time.

      Cons

Depending on the store, managers can change and shift, managers can be unhelpful and ignore requests, full time means completely open availability so they can schedule you whenever and you have no stability unless you are part time. If you are part time, you can't get health insurance or PTO.

      Pros

Good environment, good benefits, very well kept stores, decent pay

      Cons

I’d worked there for years and was always a top performer, always in their top 5. After one overslept 6am shift, they said I was “probably going to be fired,” removed all my shifts, then added two claiming it was an accident. They refused to confirm my status or send anything in writing, insisting I come in. When I didn’t attend those two shifts—because they told me I was fired—they later used that to deny me unemployment, saying it was “voluntary resignation.” and the proof was that I didn’t show for those consecutive shifts.
