What is working from home like at LawnStarter?

Transparency with weekly updates on different aspects of the company, flexible schedule (mine is, but not every position is), interesting work, people are collaborative, competitive pay, fun environment (sometimes we have friendly competitions, prizes, etc.), work from home, the vision for the company is easy to get behind

A few times I've encountered ambiguity in goals and expectations that were frustrating to me, as a contractor/freelancer, I don't have PTO or benefits

I can honestly say that this is one of the best company I know. Offers convenience because of it's work from home set up. There's also lot of growth opportunities and the environment is really friendly. The job it self is easy and fun since I enjoy talking to people and making a difference.

My only concern is that, it's too hard to let go of the company because of the wonderful people in the association.

Work from home (or anywhere) with a steady schedule and no commute—huge win for work-life balance. Managers and teammates are generally approachable, helpful, and encouraging. You’re never totally on your own. The software and systems are well-organized and easy to learn, even for folks who aren’t super tech-savvy. You’re genuinely helping customers and pros—whether it's scheduling a mow or resolving a last-minute issue. There’s room to move up or explore different roles within the company if you’re motivated and show initiative.

Spring and summer can get hectic with back-to-back calls or chats. It’s manageable, but it can feel intense. You’ll sometimes deal with upset clients or pros when things go wrong with scheduling or payments—it comes with the territory. Depending on your role or hours, things might slow down in the fall/winter months.

The good news is the teams are quick to respond and always working to improve the platform.

For me the luxury to work from home is a plus 2 rest days per week This is the first company I've work with that have a very positive working environment and everybody is approachable and always there to help. The company also listens to our feedbacks on what needs to improve on and what will make us work efficiently and easily. The career growth is fast too just be consistent and you can never be unnoticed

Constant changes may overwhelm you but it is for the better so this is a challenge that I am always happy to take.

Cons: Some processes could be more streamlined as the company grows(with a lot of innovations happening, you can lose track of the excitement) Communication between departments can occasionally be improved(this is understandable since we all work remotely)
