      SMR Interview

      26 Apr 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP in Oct 2010

      Interview

My interview process with ADP was a very detailed one. I was referred by a recruiter, so my first contact was with the person who would be my direct manager as well as one of their counterparts. This gave me insight into different parts of the organization, but it also made me realize that they were saying similar things, and both had a ton of energy that made me excited to continue. From there, I was able to speak with several other people in the organization who were at a senior level, and again I found them to have boundless energy. They asked challenging questions that made me want to step up my game! I even got to speak to a peer, which helped me learn more about the day to day of the position. This was extremely valuable time and showed that ADP and I were on the same page- we both wanted me to learn more about a "day in the life" that you can only get from someone doing the job! My advice if you are interviewing with ADP is to ask insightful questions, demonstrate your ability to do the job by providing detailed experiences, and keep your energy high and communication clear. This is a service organization, after all! I would also treat every contact with someone from ADP, from a scheduler, recruiter, to the head of the department, as part of the interview process!

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP in Jan 2010

      Interview

My initial contact with the company was through a LinkedIn contact. I made a couple of calls and got put in touch with the right person. From there, I had 4 phone interviews (one with a peer, a couple of managers in the department and the department head). I also had one in person interview prior to being made an offer. Everyone I spoke with and met was extremely positive about their experience with ADP. They were also good behavioral interviewers, and they knew what skills sets they were looking for. Not all interview processes are the same. My recommendation to anyone preparing for an interview with ADP is to research the company, the products, the team members, etc... and be prepared! Most associates I've met love being here and it shows.
