I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AMFG in Mar 2025
Interview
I got on a screening call with the CEO; he seems like someone who is after exactly what he wants, which makes him come off as a bit intense. He was very interested in my experience and I liked that he pushed back on some of my answers, because it felt more conversational, but you do have to be able to keep up with his energy.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe what AMFG does, tell me about your understanding of our business. Why do our clients choose us?
Had an interview with the CEO of the company after having been reached out to by recruiters. Incredibly unpleasant man and very impatient. Kept asking questions that weren't relevant to the role and made it clear that he wasn't convinced by my answers. Would not want to work beneath him.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AMFG (Camden Town, England) in Aug 2023
Interview
CEO reached out to me about the role, had 3 interviews with the final being in person with the CEO. The CEO asked where I lived and googled my post code whilst in the interview and was insistent that I lived too far away to be able to commute in 5 days a week. I assured him I had done this before and it was less than an hour to get there. He also stated it was an entirely male team and he was not overly fussed about diversity. He also claimed he had no idea what sort of package would be on offer for the role. After the interview I heard nothing for over 2 weeks so emailed the CEO for feedback. He has never responded to my email over 6 weeks later, I messaged the VP of sales for feedback who responded saying the only concern was my location. Seems crazy to not even email someone after completing the interviews and meeting in person only because they do not directly live in London?! Incredibly bizarre process and in my opinion it’s unprofessional to never get back to someone after an interview.
