I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Recruiter described job, asked for start date, explained the next steps but then the hiring managers declined to continue the interview process. It seems like even though the recruiter thinks you're a good fit, the internal team could still veto, so don't get your hopes up if the recruiter makes you think the process will go quickly.
25 minutes of technical questions, including beam bending, stress-strain curve, yielding strength, and a hypothetical design question where the interviewer gives you a structure and asks you how you can improve it.
