I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (San Francisco, CA) in July 2020
Interview
A recruiter first reached out with a few written questions on experience (i.e. what's your account management experience, what's your mobile app install experience, what are you currently working on, etc). Following that, we did a quick phone call discussing basic background details. One thing to note is that the recruiter didn't offer me any opportunity to ask my own questions on the role (which is typically offered). Not a huge deal, but rubbed me the wrong way a bit.
From there, they assigned a project to draw insights from a sheet of Excel Data provided & answer 5 questions about which campaign you'd recommend investing more money in (while also showing all Excel formulas for how you arrived at your conclusions). They allowed 48 hours to finish.
From there, I didn't get a response until over a week later at which point they wanted to do 1:1 interviews.
After I provided my avails for the 1:1 interviews, I again didn't hear back for over a week. I reached out again only to then learn that they'd decided to instead hire someone internally.
Have to be honest, it was pretty frustrating to devote the time & energy into that project just for them to withdraw the final round interview they offered. If someone is going to work hard on a project like that, they at least deserve the chance to still be considered throughout the process IF they were already offered that interview. At the very least, an apology on the inconvenience would've been nice, but the recruiter was apparently too busy for that. Won't be applying again if that's the normal company culture here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe your account management experience.
Tell me about your experience with app install campaigns.
Do you have vertical experience?
What is your current role? And what are your responsibilities?
The interviewers were very professional. The final interview was very difficult. The difficulty level was vastly different, i mean the depth of the Grand Canyon.
If you are a shortlisted candidate, the process is quick.
