I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Apple
Interview
First had a phone screen with the recruiter. Asked about my experience and why I wanted to join Apple. 4 weeks later had a live-coding interview with a senior engineer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (Milpitas, CA) in July 2021
Interview
The manager I was supposed to have a tech interview with foisted me off on his employee who could not use the code-sharing platform and proceeded to ask me academic questions about the inner workings of various Java collections objects. He had some language trouble and difficulty conveying his questions, and they were about ridiculously arcane topics. I was answering correctly, but he was having trouble understanding if I was answering his questions at all. It in no way reflected my nearly two decades of Java experience, and was a bit of a degrading experience.
