I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (Gaithersburg, MD) in Dec 2010
Interview
I applied online for an internship position through their website and was asked to schedule an interview with a recruiter via e-mail. The interview itself was pretty easy, and seemed to serve as more of a screener... the recruiter asked me basic questions like my availability, and whether I was OK with the pay (17.50/hour), and to describe my background and how I fit the position. She seemed to be impressed and said that she would schedule an on-site interview for the following week. They kept delaying the scheduling and didn't respond to my e-mails/voicemails and three weeks later I received an e-mail saying the position was no longer open. Very poor HR; it almost seemed like they were using an outside staffing agency.
First a Hireview, then a real interview. They have a pretty fast pace so all took about 2 weeks. They are very clear about the timing of the intern and the salary you will get.
I would like to share my positive feedback regarding the HireVue interview process. The setup was highly professional and well-organized. The inclusion of practice attempts was particularly helpful, ensuring a seamless experience. Overall, I am very pleased with the process.
recruiter and then HM screen - was rejected shortly after. it was fine but they were looking for something VERY specific and technical for a lab based position in their medimmune campus.
