I had a recruiter reach out to me over LinkedIn, followed by a phone call with the recruiter. After that I had a phone call with a developer where I did a small coding exercise. I was then asked for five references (yes five references!), and then scheduled for an in person interview. The interview consisted of 3 hour blocks of time doing coding exercises in front of different developers. This seemed like a waste of time as all the whiteboard exercises were similar in difficulty, and this left little time for any behavioral questions. After a certain amount of time either increase the difficulty of the coding questions or stop them because you probably have a good idea how well someone will do. I was not given an offer for this position which I don't understand given they reached out to me over LinkedIn, though I guess whiteboard practice is always good.
Maybe in the future you should post jo openings instead of just reaching out to people and wasting everyone's time?
