I applied online. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2024
Interview
30-minute screening call with the interested manager. A simple explainer of the role and company culture. Briefly answered questions about the software they used and my inquiries about in-person client meetings. Will note they did not fully explain you are a 1099 worker, not technically an employee. This is what made me decline the second interview.

Interview
When I set up the virtual interview, I was told it would be one-on-one with a supervisor. When I actually logged in, I discovered that I was blindsided into a group interview with 10+ other job candidates. For about 30-45 minutes of the “interview”, someone with the company was essentially pitching why the job was so great. It was clear they were looking for young adults just out of college who need a job and were new to the working world so they wouldn’t ask questions. The person pitching to us was condescending and made disparaging remarks about jobs that he thought were “below” the role in question. All in all, not a good experience. Job candidates do not deserved to be lied to or treated like they’re children.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Minneapolis, MN) in July 2020
Interview
Very thorough and the manager was very clear with the expectations for the position. It was an average interview, but all of my questions and concerns were answered. The process was simple, and they adapted well to the challenges such as covid and traveling issues.
