I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Renton, WA) in July 2011
Interview
Initial interview was a panel-type interview with 5 people. Second interview included a skills test that gave a certain fact-pattern hypotheticals and we had to write a response or memo. 3 final candidates all had to take test together. After tests, I received email to fill out questionnaire for what seemed like a background check but ultimately did not receive an offer.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Boeing (Tukwila, WA) in Jan 2020
Interview
I had a phone interview with the recruiter. Then another phone interview with two supervisors. I had all the "required" items they listed. One part I lacked was "answering phones and making travel arrangements" for the attorneys. This was put as one of your "duties" otherwise I would not have applied. I find out during the 2nd interview they were looking for someone w/that experience. I don't think that was conveyed well in the posting. I don't see why I even got a response since I clearly did not have that in my resume. Be careful - even if it is listed as one of your duties it could be a requirement.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What about this position makes you hesitant?
I did not need to use the STAR method for this phone interview. Most of the questions were asking how much experience you had in certain areas such as legal writing/research. Why did you apply to Boeing? There were no questions asked about how you deal with conflict or difficult people. Another question was "How do you stay organized?" I believe the STAR method would have been used for an in person interview. At least that is what I was told by the recruiter.
Expect a LONG process. I applied November 2019 and did not hear back until December for a phone interview w/the recruiter. Then nothing until the end of January. Then another phone interview. I just heard back today that I did not move on. They also re-posted the position in January. I heard that is not a good sign?
Also their Paralegal position at least the one I applied to was more of a legal secretary. Generally paralegals do not answer phones or make travel arrangements. I was informed not even 1/2 the work was going to be traditional paralegal work. That was a little surprising. The more I learned about the position the more I was turned off. I did not want to answer phones most of the day or clean conference rooms.
