It was a 45 mins Online (video call). Overall it was more like a conversation. Interview explained what all they do and how the workflow looks like. Asked some basic ques nothing related to the SME.
Other Reviewer interview reviews for Cactus Communications
Interview was rather easy. There were 3 levels of assessment prior to this. Those were of English language and your efficiency in paraphrasing and knowledge of the language. After you complete one level you go to the next assessment

Question 1
Brief introduction about yourself and their terms and conditions
The recruiter did not even call. Only received an email communication regarding a test. After returning the test, the next day, I got a mail stating "Thank you for meeting with the team." Well, I had not spoken to a single individual from the company. The email stated that they found a better candidate (within 24 hours) and that the competition is very strong and blah blah blah. The very next day, the post is advertised again.
The least the recruiter could have done was drafted an email stating that the performance in the test was not up to the mark and they are not taking the candidature ahead. I would have appreciated that. Sending template mails is so not done.
Another thing is that their tests and expectations are so out of the world. I have past corporate experience in writing and editing and have interviewed for much larger MNCs and organizations and cracked their tests. Really don't know what these guys expect.
My advice to the hiring team would be that don't rely so much on these tests. These editing/reviewing skills can be taught. The expectations from the team are way out of line. Go for the interview and check the potential. I can tell you that you are missing on good candidates. I got into a really super MNC because they realized my potential based on my skills and not by some paper-based test.
Thanks for the experience. I am glad I didn't get through.
