I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Westlake, TX) in July 2017
Interview
Consisted of 3 one hour interviews. First with a high level manager looking for basic understanding of production fundamentals and what skill set was my strongest. Second was related to culture and interpersonal issues. They asked about the last thing I tried to teach myself and the last time I failed and how I handled it, and how I go about identifying and achieving goals. I got the idea they were frustrated by my responses and didn't feel like they were getting to know me. The third interview was with a manager, analyzing specific skills. He wanted me to program fizzbuzz in JavaScript. It is a common entry level developer test that I was totally unfamiliar with.
They were able to tell me right away that I was no longer a candidate and the exit lady recommended I try meditation. She said I seemed really nervousness, I was going for enthusiastic and confident. :/
