      Flight Attendant Interview

      25 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2017

      Interview

Lengthy. - It took about 4 months to finally get a video interview only to be given the TBNT email. I will definitely try again next year. I love Delta, I just want to give all you hopefuls some insight! ;)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

So I applied for FA (268617) w/ Delta Air Lines, I applied 09/06/2017, (was referred by a currently employed FA @ Delta) I didn’t receive any emails thanking me for applying immediately after or anything, I heard NOTHING from Delta until 10/16/2017, an email stating “...Thank you for completing the steps of our selection process so far. We are humbled that so many talented individuals like yourself are interested in joining our world class Flight Attendant team. We are actively reviewing every candidate s information provided during the initial application. Those who are considered to be the most qualified will be invited to the next step of our process. We are committed to considering all of our candidates and providing a decision once one has been reached. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work our way to your profile....etc” - then some times goes by... I literally log into my profile account every other day to see if I’m still UNDER REVIEW... then after hearing nothing for a while... my Delta profile account status goes from UNDER REVIEW to ARCHIVED on 12/10/2017... then 2 days after... somehow goes back to UNDER REVIEW ON 12/12/2017... then later on same day... on 12/12/2017, I get the Hirevue email inviting me to the video interview, there were 6 questions, I completed it the same day, you get 30 seconds to prepare, look professional and be articulate, show confidence and smile and look into camera lens at all times, (even though it didn’t work for me lol) :} - but idk whyyy I’m cute as helll! You are shown an intro of a somewhat “a day in the life” video of a FA/Delta employee in the beginning: TIP: pay attention to it! 1.What qualifications and experience do you possess that would make you a good fit for this position? 2.Describe a time you had to change your plan last minute, what was the outcome and how did you adapt? 3.Name a stressful situation with a customer or co-worker. How was it handled? What was the outcome? 4.Name a time you were at work and had to switch/adjust priorities at a moments notice. 5.One question was along the lines of... What has been your greatest achievement in your current workplace/accomplishments...etc? Heads up: Last question you are asked about the video in the beginning... 6.From watching the video in the beginning what excites you most about potentially working for Delta, what concerns you, (..somewhat asking you to give your impression of what you’re looking forward to, what scares you, any obstacles that you noticed?) Tips: Just sound sane. Be yourself. Breathe. — To conclude: I received the TBNT email on 12/24/2017, email stating: “We received an overwhelming response to the Flight Attendant position (268617) in Various which makes us feel both humble and proud that so many talented individuals like you want to join our team. This volume of response makes for an extremely competitive selection process. Although your background is impressive, we regret to inform you that we have decided to pursue other candidates for this position at this time. We value our job candidates and invite you to review other job openings. We hope you see another job that you are qualified for and that sparks your interest!” — Then to make it official, my Delta profile account goes from UNDER REVIEW to NOT SELECTED-PLEASE REVIEW OTHER OPENINGS. ): I mean, I’ll definitely try again but for those that are giving up after not hearing back months after applying, don’t stress out! My whole process was entirely sporadic. Was lengthy to say the least. Don’t give up on your dreams!!! You’ll earn your wings one day! JUST FYI: I’m 26, male/bilingual, fluent in Spanish, and live in ATL, not sure if that helps or not. Good luck!!! Just remember your strengths and be humble and kind always! Strive to do good in the world! ;) You got this!

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
