Phone call and code challenge. The person who reviewed the exercise mistook the test (Test Driven Development was recommended) for the solution and apparently didn't know that string concatenation is asymptotically quadratic.

They ask take home project and complete in 3 hrs and then no call. submitting a working project with comprehensive test cases, a .gitignore file, and a README within the suggested three-hour timeframe. I opted not to add further complexity to ensure the core requirements were met efficiently. However they have not considered it.
