I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Durham, NC) in July 2012
Interview
Contacted in early June regarding interest. Phone screen conducted about 4 days later. Spoke to the hiring manager and discussed the details of the positions and what I was looking for. There was interest and a on-site interview in Durham was scheduled about 3 weeks later. The interview was 3 hours with 5 people on the architecture team. It was somewhat unstructured with constant room changes and interviewer changes. Simple questions that seemed fairly random, What are you looking for? What the role of this person involves?. I was told in writing that I would be re-imbursed for driving 500 miles roundtrip for the interview...... (what a joke, I keep asking about filling out paperwork for this and the recruiter avoids my phone calls and emails). What kind of a company is this? It took me exactly 4 weeks to get feedback about the interview after countless unanswered emails and phone calls. This was a big disappointment for me - I was expecting more from a global financial company. Compared to the other interviews I had, Fidelity looked good from the outside but resembled a train wreak on the inside.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Bengaluru) in Apr 2021

There were five rounds (3 of them were technical, 1 was managerial, 1 was HR). Technical rounds were medium complex. They tested me on my database fundamentals, cloud knowledge, past experiences, etc.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Galway) in May 2020
Interview
5 interviews, not technical. Purely about knowing more about skills. Interviewers were mostly managers and product owners. Questions were more about technical culture and investment business. Other questions were not relevant. Long time dedicated to company presentation.

What do you know about mutual funds and financial assets?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Bengaluru) in Jan 2020
Interview
The interview process was decent. There were around 8 technical rounds ranging from design level design and covered all aspects. Global team was very good. However, local team had average colleagues at the same level.
It's a shame they cannot match your current pay if you are coming from premium banking firms (like Goldman Sachs/JP Morgan/Morgan Stanley).
The variable pay is very high at the Architect layer. Do make sure you know what you are signing up for before hand.
Recruiter has no influence on your compensation. It's purely driven by manager.
Give Fidelity a miss if you are an exception person in your current firm.
I would have loved working with them just for the Global team members, however had to reject the offer since they gave -20% of my current pay scale.
