I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Forever 21 (Bloomington, MN) in Oct 2013
Interview
After realizing I had a couple of friends working at the MOA location, I decided to try my luck and applied. I was working at another job at the moment, so it wasn't the best move i've ever done. I thought the experience was going to be great and that i'd like it more than my current job. I personally went to the MOA location, picked up an application, filled it in and returned it the same day. Luckily for me, the general manager (who I did not know, or would of not expected to be) was present and she took my resume. She saw that my areas of work were so different from retail, but told me i was good candidate and to expect a phone call soon. about 3 days later, I received a phone call from them asking me if i'd like to interview. On the actual interview, i quickly realized it was a group interview. The actual interview was ok, for the most part you pretty much just had to give the best answers and outshine the others, which i did. I was offered the job the same night via phone call, and accepted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Who is your favorite fashion idol inspiration? & 2. are you wearing any F21 merchandise?
It was an in-person interview. It was very easy, and a standard retail interview. lasted around 10 minutes. The manager asked some scenario questions but overall, the questions were pretty straightforward.
It was a casual group interview. I sat down with a manager and another girl who was applying. They just asked a few standard questions about us and our experience.
Interviewer did not seem very experienced. He was rushing the interview and only asked general questions such as where do you see yourself in 10 years… for an entry level job.
