It was an in-person interview. It was very easy, and a standard retail interview. lasted around 10 minutes. The manager asked some scenario questions but overall, the questions were pretty straightforward.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Forever 21 in Aug 2014
Interview
I went to a job fair they were having in Ontario Mills and it was packed. There were many people and you can feel the intimidation, but all you have to do is be fashionable and be confident. The interviews are not difficult at all. They just ask why do you want to work for Forever 21 and some other typical questions. As long as you are confident and have good energy, you will have a good shot at getting hired.
I passed on to a second interview the very next week which was a group interview. It was a group of 12 with only 8 being hired. Basically one of the managers asks you different questions and hypothetical scenarios and everyone gets to answer.
It is a process of elimination. We had to pick an outfit and sell it to the manager. She eliminated the people she thought less fit with the company in a discrete manner.

Question 1
What would you do in the case you see someone shoplifting?
It was a casual group interview. I sat down with a manager and another girl who was applying. They just asked a few standard questions about us and our experience.
Interviewer did not seem very experienced. He was rushing the interview and only asked general questions such as where do you see yourself in 10 years… for an entry level job.
