I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GameStop (Colorado Springs, CO) in July 2011
Interview
I was contacted via phone by the District Manager (voice mail). I returned his phone call the following day, leaving a voice mail and he was prompt in returning my call. We spoke briefly about my history and why I wanted to make the move to GameStop. We agreed on a face to face interview about 4 days out. The interview was very casual and I could tell that the DM was engaged in his business and truly cared about his people. We met in his base store, 1 pm interview, and talked for about one hour. The question and answer session was free flowing. It wasn't the usual, "Do you have any questions for me?" though that was asked. He asked questions, I answered. I asked questions, he answered. Very give and take. Very comfortable. If you have good communication skills, this process is extremely easy.
Two interviews on zoom. One with store manager of different location, one with district manager. Was told after second interview I would have the job and would call me back with additional details. Never heard from them again.
I applied online. I interviewed at GameStop in Mar 2021
Interview
Interview process went great, I was told to hear back on their decision within 2-3 days of my final interview. I'm assuming I didn't get it because the company ghosted me.
I submitted my resume on the company website and received a call for an interview several weeks later. I didn't know what I was being interviewed for until I got to the location, which was very unusual. The interview was very generic, with the manager reading off a predetermined set of questions the entire time.
