Did not get confirmation of my phone interview time (they asked me to choose between 5+ different times), so I was grocery shopping when they called me (I went forward with the interview standing between the spices and dairy section for half an hour!) but it's fine, mistakes happen. If anything, I enjoyed the candidness of the interview because I like to think it showed my genuine skill set (aka not around computers/textbooks/etc where I stealthily look for answers to questions they ask me or something).
Other than that, fairly standard: polite and friendly interviewer, straight to the point, let me know on the spot if I answered the questions correctly which I appreciated.
Here's what I did NOT appreciate: I had made it to the 3rd round of the process by this point, and the 2 people I corresponded with and emailed scheduling/general questions to were very prompt in responding...until after my interview. They went completely dark on me and refused to tell me if I had passed or not (after some time, I obviously assumed I had not, but I was never officially notified).
I was really disappointed in that because I was decently far in the process. I get it if I don't hear back after just applying online - everyone who's applied to jobs knows that the chances of hearing back from every job you've ever applied to are pretty much zero. But to pass multiple stages and for them to not have the decency to tell you that you didn't make it? That stings. What made it worse was having had confirmation that I answered a lot of the interview questions correctly. At the end, the interviewer told me I did well and explained what the next steps would be before I even asked. After all that, I just wasn't expecting it to end with an assumed no.
