The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Genentech (Vacaville, CA) in June 2011
Interview
I wanted to do my bio major internship here and get my foot in the door and applied for a filter analyst assistant position which was the only internship they had, but they turned me down because my major was not suited for the position.
Great Interview process very smooth. The entire process took a month or so. It was a pre recorded interview with straightforward behavioral questions and then a 45 min virtual interview with the hiring manager.
The process was smooth and more like a causal conversation. The hiring manager introduced the project they are currently working on and then the relevant skillset for the job. Then they started to ask about my research and a few specific project in my resume.
