I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gensler in July 2013
Interview
I applied online, and they emailed me back setting up Skype interview since I was in overseas. The office was in Asia. The first half of the interview was took in the local language, but they asked me if I can go over my portfolio in English, so I talked in English and they talked back to me in their language after that, which I felt very strange. The toughest part for me was showing my portfolio through the screen using skype camera. I was quite sure they had received my portfolio beforehand, but it seemed they didn't prepared with them at the time. I could hear they were saying they couldn't see my stuff well; of course, it's tough to see something printed through a web camera. I tried my best showing and explaining my projects, but it was too bad they couldn't get it.

I applied through university. I interviewed at Gensler (London, England)
Interview
Recruited by in house HR consultant from a graduate show. Asked to come in for a first stage interview with one of the head designers in interiors department. Was booked in very early in the morning after the grad show and had to wait a very long time to be seen after the interview was scheduled for. the offices were very nice and staff seemed friendly so it wasn't too bad. Then met with 2 members of the team in a meeting room and became more of an informal chat interview as I don't think they were expecting to do it at the time. But they were very nice.
