I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Global21 (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2021
Interview
Seemed very desperate for native teachers.
Really needed tutors for early morning shifts, I was begged a lot before I accepted.
I was trained in the wrong area which was very unprofessional
Easy and fast process. It went much faster than I expected. They seemed to need employees right away. Hope that it is a good place to work. I don’t know yet.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Global21 (Montreal, QC) in June 2016
Interview
Appointment by Skype. Young Asian woman appears on screen and asks a set of impersonal questions, barely listening or seemingly barely understanding the answers, not being able to engage in a meaningful discussion of the subject at hand.
What I gathered from the very underwhelming process is that they want us to be available for 4 hours at a time, AM and/or PM non-stop 5 days a week minimum, to be called upon through Skype or some other proprietary video-conferencing format so that we can have their Samsung type Korean businessclients hone their English speaking skills with us.
They pay $14 US an hour and send you the money by wire and you have to pay the incoming wire costs. Yeah, right.
Not a very pleasant, enlightening or rewarding experience. The usual "will call you in a few days" was lie. I wish them all the best but not for me. Do not recommend wasting your time with them.
