I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Google (New York, NY) in Feb 2013
Interview
Posted for job in Jan 2013 on Google's website. A recruiter e-mailed me and called to set up phone interview. Never had the soft skills interview, they immediately went into the technical interview. The questions were a bit interesting in that the guy interviewing me went down a very specific path of questioning which I believe most in Oracle would have ever gone down. He said he was looking for my problem solving skills but definitive answers is all you could give.

Question 1
Describe for me what PCP is in E-Business suite and tell me what processes spawn to allow this to function
The interview was intense but well-structured, with a strong focus on SQL, optimisation, and cloud systems. It tested both technical depth and problem-solving under pressure, plus teamwork and impact through behavioural questions.

Question 1
How would you design a highly available and scalable database architecture for a global e-commerce platform on Google Cloud Platform?
it was difficult to crack though i did my best to handle those. was asked about sql dsa etc. dbms was also asked about extensively. over all it was hard
Good overall experience, recommend for fresh graduate as a first interview to gain insight about the industry. Received a logical test, that is similar to the IQ tests you find on the net, after that a HR interview, followed by the technical interview
