I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Google (Dublin, Dublin) in June 2014
Interview
A recruiter initially contacted me through e-mail. Having replied and sent my CV there was a pre-screen interview by phone, then an online coding ability test, two more phone interviews and five on-site interviews using a white board. No soft questions were asked.
All in all it took half a year from my reply to receiving the contract. Probably three quarters of this was caused by my taking things slowly and my picky scheduling.
I did not get to see much of the office, but the work atmosphere as described by interviewers and during lunch was good. The interviews were exciting, challenging and fun, but afterwards I found myself unable to estimate my performance.

Sorry, this is confidential. In fact one of the interviewers refused to answer when I asked after the interview for the solution of a problem that I failed not solve.

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Zürich) in Mar 2026
Interview
Frist had one roughly 20 to 30 minutes screening call with a recruiter, then had one online 45 minutes technical interview with a Google Site Reliability Engineer. The technical interview covered data structure and algorithm topics.

Interview
The interview lasted 45 minutes and was conducted one-on-one. I was required to walk through my thought process before coding and then implement an optimized solution with a focus on time complexity.
